The Government Accountability Office (GAO)had released a report on test accommodations provided the College Board for applicants with disabilities. While the report found that many applicants for the ACT or SAT had received accommodations, the process of receiving test accommodations was often difficult and the accommodations actually provided were different from the one’s listed in a student’s IEP or 504 Plan. GAO had recommended an increased role for the U.S. Department of Justice to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. A copy of the report is available on the GAO’s website.
